Electric Department

The Westby Electric Utility is municipally owned and is "not for profit." The utility’s two journey lineworkers live locally and the can respond to any emergency quickly. There are 21 miles of overhead and underground distribution lines which supply power to the city. The utility also maintains 327 street, ball field and ornamental lights. Westby electric has approximately 1,200 customer meters.
